Key Updates:
Ramsay School T-shirts and Hoodies
Ramsay students have a strong sense of belonging within the school community. Our amazing School Council and Parent Association support this by providing all of our NEW to Ramsay School students and staff with a Ramsay School T-Shirt. We encourage students to wear them with pride on field trips and special events!
If your child has outgrown their t-shirt or you would like to upgrade to a hoodie, now is your chance! Ramsay School T-shirts and Hoodies are available to purchase for a short time, until November 28, 2025 through your MyCBE account, just add the item to your cart. Unfortunately, size options are not available online so please email our office with your requested size after you have completed your purchase. - Sorry we are not able to accept late orders.
A bulk order with our vendor will be placed and you will be notified when your order is ready for pick up.
Classes Remain Cancelled
Classes remain cancelled. Families should not send their children to school.
We have now entered the third week of labour action. We remain hopeful that an agreement will be reached soon. In the meantime, classes remain cancelled.
Financial Support for Eligible Families
The Alberta government has announced financial support for eligible families during labour action, through the Parent Payment Program. The application portal opened today.
Eligibility:
- Eligible parents and guardians of children aged 12 and under will receive $30 per child for each day of labour action.
- Parents and guardians with a Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) agreement can receive an additional $30 per child age 12 and under for each day of labour action or $60 per day for children aged 13-17.
Families will need their child’s Alberta Student Number (ASN). The ASN appears in the top of many pages in MyCBE (grades and attendance, grade history, report card, my schedule, class registration, bus routes and stops). It is also listed on report cards and other official CBE documents.

Learning Resources
Alberta Education and Childcare has created a free toolkit that parents can use to help support their child’s independent learning when schools close.
The CBE has also posted learning from home resources and activities families can use to help support their child's learning from home.
We will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves, and the latest updates can also be found on the labour action page.
