Key Updates:
Student Safety and Security
To ensure that all of our students are safe at Ramsay School, please note the following:
1. No drop-off or pickup in our Bus Zone.
2. Only Staff are permitted in the School Parking lot. This is 24-hour reserved parking.
3. No student drop-off or pickup in the School Parking lot.
4. Sidewalks are often slippery in the winter. Please use caution around the building.
5. All CBE Schools are secure buildings. Parents are only permitted to enter the school through the Front Doors. This includes morning drop-off and afternoon pickup.
6. All school visitors MUST sign in at the office and wear a visitor/volunteer tag while in the building.
Lost and Found Notice
Our Lost and Found is overflowing and we need your help to reunite items to their owners. Please check our lost and found for items that might belong to your child. We are not able to store these items for long term; therefore, all items left after December 19, 2025 will be donated.
Outdoor Clothing and Shoes
Winter Weather is here! Please ensure that your child has the following each day at school:
1. Indoor Shoes – To keep learning spaces clean, all students need to ensure they change into indoor shoes once inside the school.
2. Warm Outerwear – Please ensure that your child arrives at school with warm clothing to go outside.
This includes but is not limited to: Hats, mittens/gloves, scarves, a winter coat, snow pants and boots. Students will be going outside for recess, lunch and class activities when the temperature is above -20 degrees Celsius.
Inclement Weather
CBE Guidelines recommend that students remain inside when the outdoor temperature reaches -20 Celsius or colder with the windchill. We are unable to provide separate indoor supervision for students who are not dressed for the weather or who are ill. Please see our webpage for more information: Winter Weather Reminders
