Our Alien Inline Skating Residency begins December 10; please ensure you have completed and returned the Acknowledgement of Risk Forms to your child’s teacher; these forms are required to participate. All forms were due by December 3, 2025.

Key Updates:
Student Safety and Security
To ensure that all of our students are safe at Ramsay School, please note the following:
1. No drop-off or pickup in our Bus Zone.
2. Only Staff are permitted in the School Parking lot. This is 24-hour reserved parking.
3. No student drop-off or pickup in the School Parking lot.
4. Sidewalks are often slippery in the winter. Please use caution around the building.
5. All CBE Schools are secure buildings. Parents are only permitted to enter the school through the Front Doors. This includes morning drop-off and afternoon pickup.
6. All school visitors MUST sign in at the office and wear a visitor/volunteer tag while in the building.
Spirit of Giving - Winter Celebration
We would like to invite families to join us to celebrate the Spirit of Giving on December 11th from 5:30-7:15 pm. We will be hosting an open house during this time, where families can participate in various activities that celebrate the season and give back to our community. We will be donating all of our creations to various local organizations. We also encourage families to bring a nonperishable food item for the Calgary Food Bank that evening. Please join us any time between 5:30 and 7:15 pm for family fun, including crafts, singing, stories, refreshments, and more. Since this is a family event, we expect all attending students to be supervised by their families.
Calgary Food Bank
Ramsay School will be collecting food donations for the Calgary Food Bank starting next Wednesday. We will have donation bins across from the main office until December 11. Students are welcome to donate non-perishable food items in their original packaging. The Calgary Food Bank is excited to receive any non-perishable food; however, at this time, they are in most need of: pasta, canned tomatoes, peanut butter, diapers, and baby formula.
Lost and Found Notice
Our Lost and Found is overflowing and we need your help to reunite items to their owners. Please check our lost and found for items that might belong to your child. We are not able to store these items for long term; therefore, all items left after December 19, 2025 will be donated.
Outdoor Clothing and Shoes
Winter Weather is here! Please ensure that your child has the following each day at school:
1. Indoor Shoes – To keep learning spaces clean, all students need to ensure they change into indoor shoes once inside the school.
2. Warm Outerwear – Please ensure that your child arrives at school with warm clothing to go outside.
This includes but is not limited to: Hats, mittens/gloves, scarves, a winter coat, snow pants and boots. Students will be going outside for recess, lunch and class activities when the temperature is above -20 degrees Celsius.
Inclement Weather
CBE Guidelines recommend that students remain inside when the outdoor temperature reaches -20 Celsius or colder with the windchill. We are unable to provide separate indoor supervision for students who are not dressed for the weather or who are ill. Please see our webpage for more information: Winter Weather Reminders

17 – Snowflake Day - Celebrate your Ramsay School Spirit by looking like a Snowflake! Wear something blue and white or something with snowflakes.
18 – Jersey Day - Celebrate your Ramsay School Spirit and your favorite team by wearing their jersey to school.
19 – Pajama Day - Celebrate your Ramsay School Spirit and be comfortable today by wearing your favorite cozy pajamas.
