Key Updates:

Ramsay Food Challenge

 

This year we will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Calgary Food bank. Our grade 2 & 5 classes are inviting everyone to participate in the Ramsay Food Challenge, where classes will be working to collect the most food for the Calgary Food Bank. If you would like to donate, please have your students bring non-perishable food items to their class before December 19th.

 

Ramsay Spirit Days

 

Our Grade 5 & 6 students would like to encourage all students to participate in the holiday spirit. They have planned School Spirit Days for the last week of December!

 

Monday, December 18 - Jersey / Hat Day (Wear your favourite jersey and/or holiday hat)

Tuesday, December 19 - Red/Green Day (Wear red/green clothing)

Wednesday, December 20 - Holiday Sweater/Outfit Day (Wear your favourite holiday sweater/outfit)

Thursday, December 21 - Winter Solstice - Wear Blue, White, Silver

Friday, December 22 - PJ and Stuffy Day (Wear your PJ's and bring a stuffy friend)

 

Students are encouraged to participate in as many days as they would like!

 

Fun Lunch

Our first Fun Lunch of the year was a great success! We would like to thank the School Council and amazing volunteers who helped put this on.  Students were so excited to enjoy pizza!

If you ordered and were away today, your order will be kept at the school until Monday afternoon. Please come to the office to collect your lunch.

 

Inclement Weather

 

Students will be going outside for recess and lunch in most conditions (this includes light rain). CBE Guidelines recommend that students remain inside only when the temperature reaches -20 Celsius or colder. A rain coat and appropriate outdoor footwear should be worn in rainy conditions. We are unable to provide separate indoor supervision for students not dressed for the weather or who are ill. If students are too sick to bundle up and go outside then they should not be at school. Absence / Lates

If your child is going to be absent or late please call the office before school begins at 403-777-6790 to let us know. This will help us ensure all students are safe and that their attendance record will be accurate. Once you have reached the office:

1.    Press 1, and leave your message on the Attendance Line

2.    Please let us know your child’s first and last name, teacher; and the reason for the absence.
